- It is estimated that every year in the world more than 850,000 tons of cigarette butts are abandoned and that 40% of the waste present in the Mediterranean Sea is made up of cigarette butts.
In Italy, 14 billion cigarette butts end up in the environment every year (source Marevivo). A damage that affects health and the environment in equal measure and towards which we are all called to do our part.
For this reason we have chosen to join RE-CIG, 
a circular economy project that transforms purified butts into plastic polymer for use in various sectors, placing the first dedicated containers in our company.
- The consequences of climate change are under our eyes every day. The high emissions of carbon dioxide in the air, undoubtedly one of the main causes of this change, also derive from the production of electricity.
